My home studio (or I can bring lights and backdrop to you)

Talk beforehand on the phone or by email

It would be great to find out a little about your dog beforehand, such as breed and colouring. Some idea of their character is also useful, perhaps their likes and dislikes?

Either my home studio or at your place

I have a small home studio in my flat in Islington in North London. There is street parking for which I can supply a permit if needed. Or I can bring a portable studio to you (paper backdrop and two lights). I will charge basic mileage for trips outside the North and South circular roads except to the Oxford and Letchworth areas.

On the Day

We will spend time getting your dog used to me and any new surroundings. I have found that sometimes, with excited dogs, taking a break for tea and coming back to it again can be productive. I will aim to spend about an hour on the shoot but, if necessary and the dog is happy, I will continue until I get the best images possible.

If I come to you I will need extra time to setup and then clear away my lights and a suitable inside space in which to work.

What to Bring

My whippet Nancy is very food driven and responds well to training with food. My previous dog Jap, a Jack Russell, was different, he was completely toy obsessed. It would be very useful to have something to hand that will engage them and encourage their cooperation. You know your dog best and what works with them. So please bring their favourite toy or treats or anything else you think that would help with the session and make them feel at ease.

What you will get

A beautiful 10″×8″ fine art print ready for framing is included in the price. (*This is the paper size. The print has a white border to allow for a card mount, so the actual image size will be smaller than 10″x8″. See some examples here).

You may order prints on other surfaces or in different sizes. Please ask for a quote.

I will also supply low resolution digital versions of the finished files for Facebook, Instagram etc.

Viewing your pictures

Once the shoot is over I will edit, retouch and process the best images (up to 3 of them) of your dog and make them available to view on a private page on this website, from which you can select the image you wish to be printed.

Delivery

I aim to have your personal digital gallery available to view within 3 working days. But I will let you know if more time is required.

The print will be ready 2 working days after you have made your selection. Then please allow 2-5 days for delivery.

Larger prints may take longer and will probably incurr a delivery charge.

Payment

Can be made online here with most credit/debit cards.
